Papa Bob Dunphy, August 2012

I was born in 1962 in Burkina Faso.  When I was a baby, my mother died.  I have been brought up by my grand-father (the father of my mother).

My father died when I was about 5 or 6 years old in a very remote place ( KOUNDA ), far away from the village (TINTILOU ) where I was living with my grand father.  (In Burkina Faso, as in many Africa Nations when the father dies, the child is looked at in disdain, and shunned by society, and treated no better than an animal. Robert Dunphy Ministries, along with Child’s Hope are changing these attitudes in the people.)  So I was fatherless, and a motherless orphan sleeping anywhere, and eating anything I could find.

When I was 10, an uncle of mine who was a soldier somewhere ( I don’t remember) came back home and found me staying under a shea-nut tree.  He asked me what I was doing there instead of going to school ? The answer was because nobody sent me to school.  So, he sent me immediately that very day to school. (Children used to go school at 6 or 7 years old.)

When I was 27, I decided to get married. I was finishing my studies at the university, and a young girl I met became my wife.  When I visited their family for the first time, it was a surprise for me to know that she was an orphan too, NO father, NO mother!

We got married in 1989,and decided to support the orphans all our life.

We understood that this was the plan of God for us: To be the father of the fatherless.  It was the beginning of our Ministry.  We named it: CHILD’S HOPE INC.

When we met Papa BOB Dunphy here in Ouagadougou, we realized that this was the plan of God. He is for us a true and real father.  This is the reason why we are working under a covenant partnership.  Since the day we met, many orphans, many widows, many poor people, many pastors has been supported all over the while country: from North to South, and from East to West.

All the glory is for God our FATHER in heaven !!!!

Constantin
